Should We Talk About Sex? The Travel Blogging Perspective…

0

Talking about sex is healthy. It shouldn’t be taboo and it’s not a cheap way to get traffic. When people talk about food I don’t get all up in their ass because everyone likes food.

Do you see where I’m going with this? Because everyone has sex and it’s part of life, just like eating. The likelihood that you don’t have sex while traveling is low, unless you’re as anal about having sex as you are about talking about it.

Bottom line is: I have sex, you have sex. In fact, your parents probably had gross, filthy, dirty sex to bring you into this world. (You’re welcome for that mental image). So why can’t we talk about it?

Talking about sex helps work towards solving world problems.

Yes, Travel Sex Life has posted some articles that make me cringe, but they also post content on topics that inform readers and created an open conversation. The best way to solve a problem, is to start talking about it. There are so many topics people tend to hide from – unclean topics like the sex trade, sexual stereotypes, abortion, masturbation and safe sex.

Why do people go straight to their doctor when they have the slightest thing wrong with them (“errr my elbow hurts a bit”), but when it comes to a rash on their dick, they procrastinate going to the doctor out of embarrassment. Isn’t that silly?

If I had a penis, I would want to make sure it was in tip top shape and health.

Everyone should be getting tested and have at least an annual check up. Just because you don’t fuck everyone you meet doesn’t mean you’ll never get an STD or STI. Also, don’t forget about all the non-sexually transmitted infections or in the worse case scenario, cancers that you can get without even enjoying a roll in the hay.

Dare I tell you how healthy masturbation is now?

1. Maturbation relieves stress. Not just the orgasm part either. When we think about sex in any form, dopamine (a chemical released by the brain that gives us a sense of pleasure) is released.

2. It eases menstrual cramps. The strength and intensity of an orgasm can relieve cramps (not to mention those sweet hormones running through your body).

3. It prevents cancer. A 2003 Australian study came to the conclusion that men who ejaculated often were a third less likely to develop prostate cancer.

4. It makes you harder. That’s right boys! As you age, your penis muscles start to weaken and working them regularly helps keep them strong and in shape!

5. Maturbation can help with insomnia. Do you find that you fall asleep better after a good sex session with your partner? The same goes for touching yourself. Your blood pressure is lowered and relaxation is increased through the release of endorphins.

I see you all hiding behind your computers.

I’m not saying you have to talk about your specific sex life, but so many people are un-honest about their experiences and avoid the topic. This can lead to so many problems, most of all, issues with our health. Travel Sex Life is a place where honesty is welcome, whether it’s ugly or not.

Don’t get me wrong, I would probably be the first person to punch Will Peach and the rest of the TSL team in their pretty faces at a party. But it’s wrong to rip on them and others on this site for publishing HONEST content, just because you didn’t like it. I’m not saying, don’t speak your mind. I’m saying there’s no one to blame but the writer of the content.

So if you disliked mine. Let me have it!
