Theatre breaks in London are definitely something you should not miss out on. Experience a good movie in the company of someone special and take your love life to the next level. Whatever the occasion may be: Valentine’s, anniversaries, birthdays or purely to spend time with each other, the ambience and the setting of a theatre can provide the perfect romantic encounter you’ve been looking for.

The Aubin Cinema & Theatre

The Aubin is an intimate and cozy theatre situated in the basement of the Aubin & Wills store in Shoreditch. It has the most luxurious velvet love seats and chairs with soft cushions from their very own store. The seats alone are ideal for snuggling up to your date under a tartan blanket. They have a well-equipped bar that serves beer, cocktails, champagne, and wines from all over as well as food to munch on.

The Exhibit

The Exhibit located in Balham, is a boutique space like Valentine’s Day Gifts no other. The theatre is fully air conditioned, with an excellent surround sound system and has a cutting edge digital projector. This space can accommodate up to 24 people on two seater leather sofas. To make it more fun, they usually have a theme for each month. So try to catch a new movie or your favorite old movie and experience downright viewing delight. It also features regular performances.

The Ritzy

The Ritzy Picturehouse, more popularly known as “The Ritzy”, is probably the theatre house with the most history in all of London. Built for Israel Davis by E. C. Homer and Lucas, Davis belongs to a family of cinema developers. Located in Brixton, South London, today the space has a multiscreen cinema and theatre complex complete with a café and a bar.

The Screen on the Green

The Screen on the Green is provides a slightly different romantic theatre break in London. Sitauted in Islington, this theatre was formerly known as the Empress Electric Theater, before becoming the Empress Picture Theater, and finally The Screen on the Green in the late 1970s. Although having renovated several times, the unique barrel vault ceiling, the iconic red drapes (which still work), the periphery, and the red neon lights have been retained.

The Secret Cinema

Last but most definitely not the least is The Secret Cinema, making romantic theatre breaks in London look like one of the most best ideas on earth. The name itself, The Secret Cinema, makes you want to go. But go where? That’s just it, you won’t know until a few days before the event. The thrill of the unknown is what makes this theatre event enticing. And who better to share the experience with than that special someone whom you hope will hold on to you during times of uncertainty! How to snag tickets for the Secret Cinema experience? That’s just the first step in the mystery.

The novelty, the intimacy, and the history of these theaters add up to an experience like no other. Add to the equation the feeling that London brings and voila – a theatre-goer’s paradise. Make sure you and your loved one don’t miss out!
