We have all met some seducers during our life. I must tell you I found a lot of them while staying in one of the apartments in Rome but, sure, they can also be found all over the world. Some of them have an important name in history, some others just in our memory. But what do they all have in common? How do they act?
Well, among the many things, I’ve discovered that seducers know there’s a fundamental rule in personal charm: “Know specifically what you want and why you want it and go for it”. The best seducers in history always knew what they wanted, and through experience, they learned the efficient ways of getting it. If they failed, they tried harder and smarter. But there’s yet another rule: “Believe that what you want belongs already to you”. This has an incredible magical effect not only on your psychology but on the one you are flirting with too. This belief reflects on your personal behaviour, which in turn affects others, who fall for that self-confidence you show.
A lot of famous seducers have existed in history; maybe you already know some of them. But do you know their techniques?
Casanova
Giacomo Casanova, the Venetian adventurer, writer, diplomatic and spy, was the seducer by whom all others are measured. For Casanova, as well as his contemporary sybarites of the upper class, love and sex tended to be casual and not endowed with the seriousness characteristic of the Romanticism of the 19th century. His technique was to discover a lady in trouble, be attentive, extricate her from her difficulty, bestow small gifts, use alluring words, make hay, but after a while he would get bored and disappear. He has become so famous for his often complicated and elaborate affairs with women that today his name is synonymous with “womanizer”.
Catherine the Great
Catherine II, Empress of Russia, was the most renowned and the longest-ruling female leader of Russia. She often gave her lovers important positions in government and she even pension them off after she’d had enough of them. She even employed a former lover to select a new candidate for her who had both the looks and the intelligence to hold her interest.
Cleopatra
Cleopatra was the last Pharaoh of Egypt and a great beauty that consolidated her power through affairs with both Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. She was playful, witty and coquettish and required large quantities of milk for bathing and flirting with Roman generals.
Lord Byron
Lord Byron was a British revolutionary soldier and a leading figure in the Romantic Movement. Maybe that’s why ladies fell for that mix of searing intellect and man of action. He was all passion.
