The Magic Kingdom’s layout is similar to that of its California predecessor. Its main center (Cinderella Castle) is surrounded by six “lands” based on various themes: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Liberty Square. The the land has its own cast of characters who do their utmost to ensure that visitors have a nice time.

The Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971, as the first phase of Walt Disney’s planned Florida Project. Besides, it was the resort’s only theme park at the time, and it opened alongside two hotels: Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The park opened with 23 attractions. It includes three unique theme park and 20 other attractions at Disneyland.

2: EPCOT

Operating Hours: 11 AM to 7 PM

Epcot, formerly EPCOT Center (1982-1994), Epcot ’94 in 1994, and Epcot ’95 for a brief period in 1995, is Walt Disney World Resort’s second theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It is based on Walt Disney’s EPCOT, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, a futuristic city envisioned to be built south of the Magic Kingdom as part of Walt’s plans for Disney World in the mid-1960s.

World Showcase and Future World are the two main “lands” in Epcot. The World Showcase features pavilions representing various countries from around the world, each with stores, exhibits, restaurants, and attractions specific to that country. The attractions at Future World are primarily focused on the future, education, and technology. As part of the park’s ongoing “reimagining,” the park is to soon be divided into four “neighborhoods,” with the extant World Showcase remaining and Future World being divided into World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature.

Note: The operating hours for EPCOT up to April 3, 2021, is from 11 AM to 7 PM. However, Disney parks hours can be changed due to multifaceted factors without any prior notice.

3: Hollywood Studios

Operating Hours: 10 AM to 7 PM

Disney’s Hollywood Studios, earlier known as Disney-MGM Studios, is a theme park in Orlando, Florida, United States, that is part of the Walt Disney World Resort. It first came into being on May 1, 1989. The theme of the park is based on Hollywood classic movies and famous TV entertainment, and it spans 135 acres (546,000 m2).

The only ties that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), which is now owned by Sony, had to the Disney park were through marketing agreements that enabled Disney to use the MGM name and lion logo, as well as separate agreements that allowed MGM material to be included in a ride called The Great Movie Ride.

Ted Turner, on the other hand, bought the pre-1976 MGM library’s rights in order to launch Turner Network Television and, later, Turner Classic Movies, all of which are now part of Time Warner. As a result, the termination of MGM’s affiliation had no effect on the content of The Great Movie Ride. The park was renamed “Disney’s Hollywood Studios” on January 7, 2008. An official announcement was made by Disney officials on August 9, 2007.

Note: Hollywood Studios operating hours are from 10 AM to 7 PM. However, you may get to see an unexpected change in Disney Parks hours schedule due to several reasons.

4: Animal Kingdom

Operating Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM

The Animal Kingdom is the zoological theme park of the Walt Disney World Resort. Walt Disney Company owns and operates this theme park located in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. It is the largest park in the world, having 580 acres (230 ha) of area. The park first rolled out on earth day, April 22, 1998. It was number four on the list of the resort’s parks. The theme of the park revolves around the conservation of the natural environment and animals.

It is different from the other theme parks of the Disney World Resort as it has many living animals in addition to the other attractions. The park has specific designs to ensure the welfare of the 100 animal species living here. Animal Kingdom is located on the western corner of the resort. The main reason to isolate it from the other parks is to save other properties from the disruptions caused due to animals.

Note: You need to understand that the timings for the Disney Parks hours can be changed due to several reasons. However, you can expect the Animal Kingdom timing to be 9 AM to 5 PM up to April 3 2021.

5: Blizzard Beach

Operating Hours: 11 AM to 6 PM

Blizzard Beach is a water park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, that is part of the Walt Disney World Resort. After River Country and Typhoon Lagoon, it became the resort’s third water park on April 1, 1995. The “Disney legend” of an awesome snowstorm in the region leading to the creation of Florida’s first ski resort is the theme of the attraction. Naturally, the snow doesn’t remain for long, leaving behind a heap of waterlogged but snowless ski jumps and chairlifts.

An alligator was seen moving down an artificial water channel and splashing into a pool of water. The failed resort was about to close for good. As a result, the “ski resort” was reborn as a water park, with Ice Gator as its mascot. In 2008, the park hosted approximately 1.89 million guests. In the year, it was the second-most visited water park in the world, behind its sister park, Typhoon Lagoon.

Most of the major attractions at the park are hosted atop Mount Gushmore, an artificial hill with an elevation of 90 feet (27 m), making it the fifth-highest point in Florida. It is split into three colored slopes to aid guests navigating around the park: Green, Red, and Purple. Furthermore, all water areas are heated at approximately 80 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the melting snow in the ice cave of Cross Country Creekwith is an exception.

Note: As per DisneyWorld.com, the timings for Disney’s Blizzard Beach will be 11 AM to 6 PM till April 3, 2021.
